Embodiment from a Health At Every Size® Lens

In my practice, I honor the principles of Body Liberation and Health at Every Size (HAES) to create a space where all bodies are respected, supported, and free from judgment. Body liberation invites us to reject harmful societal standards and reclaim our right to exist fully in our bodies-without shame, comparison, or the pressure to conform. HAES complements this by affirming that health is not defined by weight or appearance, but by access, autonomy, and compassionate care. Together, these frameworks guide a healing approach that centers:

  • Dignity for all bodies

  • Freedom from diet culture and weight stigma

  • Trust in your body's wisdom

  • Support for holistic well-being-physical, emotional, and relational

You are not asked to change your body to be worthy of care. You are invited to reconnect with it, listen to it, and honor it-just as it is.EmbodimentEmbodiment is the practice of fully inhabiting your body with awareness, intention, and presence. It's about experiencing life not just through thoughts, but through sensations, movement, and felt experience. In therapeutic and mindfulness contexts, embodiment invites you to listen to your body's cues, honor its rhythms, and engage with the world from a grounded, integrated place.
